A visit to Kristin Baybars shop

In the beginning of January I went to London, and of course I had to visit Kristin Baybars shop! She is such a lovely lady, and her shop is amazing!

I bought some small glass items. I am planning to make some scented candles using the three jars.

I also got these urns. I have made lots of flowers, and I`m going to make flower arrangements in these for the diningroom at the Inn.

And I bought some lamps...

And the wizard got some new glass items for his potion making.

He also got a filled shelf for his bedroom.

I don`t know the maker of this chair, but it`s absolutely gorgeous! I put it in the Tuscan Villa.

This is piping for a sink I have, and a sweet picture.

Bespaq Baby House

I have just started working on my Bespaq Baby House, and I have finished the wallpapering and flooring. I used free printies found online, and minimized them on my computer. I plan to make furniture for it, but I have never made furniture this small so I don`t really know where to start...

A new chair

I have made a new chair for the bedroom in my Country Victorian house. The fabric matches the curtains that Janne made for me.

Re-upholstered Bespaq sofa

I bought this Bespaq sofa a long time ago, and never really found the right place for it, and I think it looked kind of dull. So I decided to give it a make-over! I used the fabric I just bought in London. The print is a bit big, but I like the result anyway :-)

Before....

After....

Thrift-store bed

A couple of years ago my mum found this bed at a local thrift-store. I have finally made a matress and bedlinen for it. I also want to make lots of pillows and perhaps a blanket thrown on the bed would look nice.

Birthday gifts

I just celebrated my 30th birthday, and these are the miniature-gifts I got!

My sister knitted me this cute blanket. It`s the first miniature she`s ever made, and I have given her hints for years that I would love to have something in my dollhouse that she had made. Finally she "gave in"... ;-D

From my two boys I got these Stokesay Ware jars.

My husband got me this baker`s rack by J. Getzan. I think it`s so beautiful! It has been on my wishlist for several years.

I put it in the Tuscan Villa and added some miniatures....

I also got a gift certificate at SP Miniatures. Can`t wait to pick out some minis!

Country Victorian bedroom

I`ve had this picture since I was a child, and I`ve always liked it so much. I found it recently when I was cleaning up the attic, and I replaced the old frame with this one to make it more suitable for the dollhouse. I think it`s a bit big, but it`s special to me, so I want it in my dollhouse anyway.

At our last dollhouse club meeting I had prepared kits for everyone to make shelves like this. I decided to use the one I made for baby stuff in the bedroom.

I`ve made one more wicker chair

I just love the kits from Second Childhood! I have now made two of these chairs, one sofa and a table. After I finished the chair I realized that there`s not enough space for it on the patio.... Ah well, I`ll put it in La Belle Vie!

Bespaq settee makeover

I bought this Bespaq settee several years ago, and never really found the perfect place for it. So I decided to give it a makeover.

I painted it black, varnished it, and re-upholstered it.

And now it will live happily ever after in the Asian room at the Inn. :-)

And one for me...

I think I made about nine of these for two different christmas swaps last year. This one was a "left-over" for myself. All the other ones I made was painted green, but I didn`t paint this one until now. I used "Sand" acrylic paint, and aged it with burnt sienna and burnt umber oil paints.

Wicker table

I have just finished this wicker table. It is made from a kit by Second Childhood. I noticed now when I took these pictures that the sofa has turned yellow-ish. Maybe the varnish did this... I don`t know. I made the chair a while after the sofa, but it looks like that one is turning yellow as well. At least they will probably look the same after some time then...

MAKE bed

As I have metioned before, I joined a MAKE at All Things Mini. This is the bed I got in return from Minigirl. I made this bed for Marie. I just love swaps! :-D Thank you very much, Minigirl.

Dressed bed

I have finally finished dressing this bed. The quilt is handsewn one by one square, Rita taught me how to do that. I used a pretty pleater for the dust ruffle. I made the big pillows, and Janne made the small ones.

Southwestern style bed

I made this bed for Marie for an All Things Mini MAKE. I made it for her Southwest Bungalow, hope it fits in nicely! :-) Usually I am not a very patient person, so making these quilts, handsewing one by one square before sewing them together, is really out of character for me. This is the third quilt I have made, and the biggest one so far. But what I do like about making them is that it`s so easy to work on them anywhere. I have been sewing at family gatherings, visiting friends, watching a movie, and even during a lecture at the University! Love multi-tasking! :-D

Kitchen side table

I made this table and filled it with miniatures from Country Treasures, Christel Jensen, Angie Scarr and more. Not long ago I bought a Proxxon table saw that is just perfect for making miniature furniture.
