I have begun making a tree in front of the Wizard`s Cottage. I found a tutorial by Betsie Treurnicht in a Miniature Collector magazine from 2007.
I used lots of wires to make the tree trunk, branches and twigs.

Very clever. This will look so nice when it is done:)
ReplyDeleteThat looks great Mimmi. It must be hard on your hands though?
ReplyDeleteMimmi this tree is going to be great!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how it is done, actually I would luv to make trees!
Another project on the waiting list lol
Thanks everyone! :-) Lize, it didn`t hurt my hands at all actually, but I think the trickier part will be to add the paperclay without scratching my hands too much on the twigs.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking about these trees for sale at the Miniature Store. They are very expensive and this post offers me a more cost effective alternative. Thank you so much for the post. Lovely idea and I'm sure it will be worth the time. So inspiring.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a tree, hope to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever completed the tree? I would love to see it done. :-)
ReplyDeleteI still haven't finished it, unfortunately... If you look at "The Cottage" tag, you see the latest pictures of it.
